It's quiet around here
posted by: Melinda Schenher (Assoc. Director) April 30, 2008
There's a bitter sweetness to the month of May around here. It's so exciting to send out the teams to go and share Jesus with a world so much in need of Him. They have spents hours practicing dramas, writing talks, and coming together as a team. It's a bit sad for those of us left behind. It's very quiet, and some might even admit a bit lonely. Well, I guess we'll just have to wait until they return! (or stop in on their way through to their next retreat :)

Is it that time already???
posted by: Melinda Schenher (Assoc. Director) April 21, 2008
Wow, just a few more sleeps until the students leave on Outreach. Joan Perrott has done a tremendous job of planning schedules, booking host homes, training teams, and keeping us all in line!
We are so proud to be able to send our students out to share the gospel of Jesus to all that they meet.
If you'd like to be added to the list of people willing to pray for a team, please email us and we'll let you know the particulars! Thanks so much!

Live from... Hinton!
posted by: Melinda Schenher (Assoc. Director) February 18, 2008
The beauty of the mountains is perhaps beyond words for some of the students as they set up camp here in Hinton. For some, it's the first time that they have witnessed something so grand as the Canadian Rockies. One student, as she her van was getting closer commented that the 'clouds' looked funny here. Then one of her classmates said "Those aren't clouds, those are the mountains." "Wow!"
We are so blessed to be in the midst of God's beautiful creation. There are many fresh faces from outings this past weekend. Mainly taking in the ski hills and tourist spots in Jasper. We begin today with the students presenting their thoughts on a specific book of the bible that they have been journeying with since before Christmas.
Word of God, living and active, inflame our hearts with love for you!

Did you know Wasketenau has an outdoor rink cleaned by a Zamboni?
posted by: Joan Harter (Secretary) January 15, 2008
The tubs of skates have been dug out of the shed for another winter. A favorite past time of previous years is being discovered by this year's students. Students by the car load are driving to Waskatenau where there is a outdoor rink to go skating at. The creek behind the school, unfortunatly appears to be unskateable this year. The rink, although small, is maintained by a zamboni making it worth the drive

They're baaaack!!!

Wow, it's been a wonderful start to the week as the students return. We have Fr. Paul Moret with us this week - an awesome teacher and preacher. Lots of laughs and smiles all around as we start this second semester. Between trips to the airport and bus depot to pick up people and the huuuge grocery run that we're doing this week, we've been busy!
As well, on behalf of the students, I invite you to consider coming to spend some time, drop in, say Hi, attend a class... we'd love to have you!

It's quiet around here

My, how the time flies! It's been a quick semester, and now the students are nestling back in to their family life, some thousands of miles away from Radway. We have been so blessed this year with a truly awesome group of students. I think that most impressive thing is that they are willing to do hard things - sometimes things that they never thought they could accomplish on their own - all through the grace of God.
Classes ended on Thursday, most left on Thursday and Friday. We completed the last airport run today.
Can't wait to see what the new year will unfold!

I've had many emails circulate through my inbox about the release of the movie, The Golden Compass. I've included a link to a trusted site so that you can be better informed. Please don't support this movie.

One of my favorite times of the year
posted by: Melinda Schenher (Assoc. Director) November 26, 2007
I have the privilege of leading the students through the Bible Timeline. It's one of my favorite times of year because I learn so much about the Bible, and how everything fits together to get a better idea of the "Big Picture". The students are busy reading their section of the Bible so they can report on it during the lectures this week. Did your class take the Bible Timeline? Want to share some memories?
